Out of this 61,000 is kept apart for Schedule A nurses and PT's and the remaining 2,40,000 thousand would have been divided amoung employment catagories if the amendment had passed,clearing lot of our backloggs.
REMEMBER, THE RECAPTURE OF UNUSED VISAS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PRIORITIES OF CORE AND THE DOOR IS SLAMMED ON OUR FACES AGAIN BY HYPOCRITES LIKE HILARY AND CALIFORNIA SENATORS.
Its the high time we convince the senators who said NAYS. Lets start SOME KIND OF CAMPAIN aiming these guys. I am sure that core's hands are there behind this amendment. Well done IV. Don't get dissappointed, keep trying for Skill bill or for similar amendments. Its really unfortunate that we lost a very very big chance. Lets do something immediately.

Did you ever apply for EAD / AP?
My I-140 was never denied. In fact the date 09/04/2007 that NSC mentions about the denial is the date that I got approval notice. I have the approval copy from USCIS. I am not sure what the adjudicating officer is looking on his terminal.

There's nothing new there. Its silly actually. The later bulletin supersedes the previous bulletin and everyone knows that.
But they are just connecting the "flip" and the "flop" of their flip-flop of visa bulletin. They are saying that if you read "Flip", then "Flop" must be read too and if you read "Flop", then "Flip" must be read too, in order to make sense of the Flip-Flop.

At least I know 3 or 4 universities in around MI and OH. They have only online classes and on Sunday. It allows most of the students to take their classes that way. The rest 6 days they can work any where and make money and pay the university. One of the universities has 90% of the students from one of the small countries adjacent to India.

My wife�s visa and I-94 are on maiden name. I recently updated her passport to reflect married name. When I applied for her driver�s license, the DMV officer told me that they need to verify the name change with immigration. How do I inform immigration of the name change? What should I do to convince the DMV about her name change?

My wife is on H4, i'm on H1B. She applied for DL renewal and was renewed for 1 yr.
They accepted visa, passport, i-94, and H4 renewal receipt notice.
They gave her one year from receipt notice.
What a relief. i was worried they would not accept it.
That was in Sterling VA DMV.:)
My wife was on H4 but now on H1/Opt. We went to DMV (Sterling, VA) . They checked the passport but did not check anything else. They renewed DL for 5 years instead of 3 years. Not sure what happened but she looked at the passport. I did not offer any other document because she did not ask.

Got my 45 day letter in Feb 2005.
